And here is after. I have been meaning for years to do reviews of my most-used cookbooks for a blog post but alas, I just haven't gotten around to it.
My next task is to go through those two very large three-ring binders and get that to one binder.
Yes yes! I wish to know all about your most-used cookbooks. I myself have lately been going through the vast sheaf of "these look interesting" recipes I've cut out of the paper (or received from friends) over the years, ditching a few and selecting a reasonable and seasonable assortment to try this month. I already tried Cauliflower Saffron Soup (not my favorite) and Broccoli Spinach Soup (scrumptious).
ReplyDeleteI've stopped getting cookbooks. For awhile there I was using Everyday Food for most of my cooking. Love those recipes! Then i noticed that I just wasn't using them anymore either so we stopped getting that as well. It's funny how you have some cookbooks for show and some for use! Well done you on this project!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about copying the recipies I use and then knocking my cookbook collection down to three or so, but it happens enough that I'm searching how to make something that I haven't made and I end up reading several cookbooks to get an idea of what I want to do. So the cookbooks stay. I'm right with you about acquiring more. I'm not one of those people that could have a whole wall of cookbooks.
