I put out some of the lesser-developed sunflower heads as treats for the squirrels. Also treats for the cats.
If it weren't for that blasted glass, the cats would be on that squirrel in a second.

Well that answers my question about what else you can do with the sunflowers!
There is a squirrel that runs across our balcony railing to the tree right outside our place. I swear that thing taunts our dog & cat on purpose.
