This was my lesson in the important truth that paperbacks may be lighter than hardbacks, but that doesn't make them weightless. Ironically, when I was buying anchors the first time, the guy at Lowes (who was so great I submitted a customer comment about him) pointed out the superior anchors and said, "These are amazing, but they are overkill, unless you are shelving encyclopedias." When the shelf fell, I immediately went back for the encyclopedia anchors. Sometimes overkill is good. And they were so much easier to install than anchors. I need to take a picture of the box, but that was the final picture taken with my camera. I dropped it right after and it broke. Then I accidentally deleted the final picture of the box of anchors.

Wow, that is a lot of big books! No wonder the shelf couldn't take it.

Oops. Did everything tumble or was it mostly empty.
Everything tumbled. The pencil holder my brother made Matt for Christmas last year even made a mark on the floor. I wonder how the cats reacted?
