Ham, cream cheese and pickles. Yum.

My mom used to make this when she had to take an appetizer somewhere. It's delicious, easy to make and the very 50s color scheme appeals to my sensibilities.

Soften cream cheese. Buy four or five thick slices of ham. Quarter a pickle.
Spread the cream cheese on the ham, place the pickle on the cream cheese.
Roll up the pickle. At this point you can store the logs in the refrigerator until you are ready to leave. Or you can just slice up each log. It's traditional to eat the jagged ends. Don't break that tradition.
Arrange on a plate and go!
MMMMmmmmmm!

Nice and tasty looking. I bet that the three flavors work very well together. And I like the 50's goodness of it as well!
