Swetsville Zoo.

On our way out of town, we stopped at the Swetsville Zoo which I discovered while googling around for fun things to do in Fort Collins. The back story here is that Bill Swets, a farmer, started making metal sculptures in his spare time and today there is a menagerie of sculptures you can visit. This was a very fun side trip and worth seeking out if you are in the Fort Collins area.

Matt poses with a two headed dragon.

I pose in front of a giant "bug"

If you look closely here, you can see that Matt has been eaten by this dinosaur.

What really impressed me about Bill Swets' work were the faces of all the creatures he created. They were very naturalistic, which is something when you consider that everything was made out of farm machinery or car parts.

Matt stands over ants invading a picnic basket.

There were chimes for us to play.

This was a pretty cool "swords into plowshares" sculpture.

This is very much like the Chevette we had when I was little. Although this is not actually a Chevette, and our car didn't have teeth. Our car's wheels were also the same size, not bigger in the front.
